MESSAGES FOR ALL N I B A FANTASY LEAGUE PARTICIPANTS.
SPECIAL NOTICE Would all participants please note that the fixtures for Saturday 2nd.August will not be posted on the forum until late on Tuesday night 29th. July after all the N I B A Championships Semi Finals have been played. I will be listing the names of the Finalists in the six Competitions ( Youth Singles - Junior Singles - Open Singles - Pairs - Triples & Fours ) for you to predict the WINNERS. Points will be awarded as follows 3 Points for each correct result and 1 Point for each wrong result. Predictions will have to be sent to me no later than 10.00 pm. on Friday 1st. August. |

CHUCKY & THE ORACLE WERE THE ONLY TWO TO GET ALL EIGHT SENIOR & JUNIOR CUP QUARTER FINALS RESULTS CORRECT LAST WEEK TO CLAIM THE FULL 24 POINTS EACH. SOLO WHO WAS AT THE TOP OF THE LEAGUE HAD ONLY FOUR CORRECT RESULTS (12 POINTS) WHICH PUTS HIM DOWN TO SEVENTH PLACE, WITH REDDEVIL TAKING OVER TOP POSITION WITH 187 POINTS JUST FOUR MORE THAN HIS TEAM MATE CHUCKY WHO HAS JUMPED FROM NINTH POSITION TO THIRD WITH THE SAME POINTS AS BP WHO IS NOW IN SECOND PLACE. ONLY A FEW WEEKS LEFT TO IMPROVE YOUR POSITION IN THE LEAGUE TABLE. DON'T FORGET TO LOOK FOR THIS WEEKS FIXTURES WHICH WILL BE POSTED LATE TONIGHT OR EARLY TOMORROW MORNING (THE SIX N I B A CHAMPIONSHIPS FINALS) |

ONLY ONE DAY LEFT FOR ALL PARTPICANTS TO SEND ME THEIR PREDICITIONS FOR THE N I B A CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS TO BE PLAYED AT CARRICK ON SATURDAY 2nd AUGUST. I HAVE ONLY RECEIVED PREDICITIONS FROM TEN, HAVE STILL TO GET FROM THE OTHER SEVEN. |

PLEASE READ MY FIRST MESSAGE ON THIS THREAD. I made a mistake when i said that 1 Point would be awarded for each wrong result, as the format of the league table will not give any points for a wrong result. (POINTS WILL BE AWARDED THE SAME WAY AS THE WEEKS OF THE CUP GAMES 3 POINTS ONLY FOR EACH CORRECT RESULT ) ---------------------------------------------------- |

THE FANTASY LEAGUE TABLES FOR SATURDAY 9th. AUGUST OR NOW ON SITE. Please note no points have been awarded this week for the Lurgan v Newtowabbey game as it was played last Wednesday. Twelve of the Seventeen participants got all the other seven results correct with only WIC getting six correct scores and CHUCKY five correct scores. BOMBER moves up to top position with 212 points only one point above BP, CHUCKY & REDDEVIL who all have 211 points MONKFISH has slipped from 4th. position to 7th. position five points behind his team mate BOMBER. Fixtures for Saturday 16th. August will be the four Irish Cup Semi Finals and four First Division Games. Watch out for them as they will be posted on the N I B A Message Forum later to night. (MONDAY) |

All predicitions for this week will be held over and points will be awarded when i get the results of all the nine games after they have been played. |

Geoge Due to IBA cup game, the league game between Musgrave & 'Garvey nxt Saturday is postponed. No new date for it has been arranged - seems there is a possibilty that there could be a few games played in September this year!!!!!!! |

THE RESULTS OF THE FIVE GAMES PLAYED ON SATURDAY 23rd. AUGUST SEEM TO HAVE CAUGHT EVERY ONE OUT AS ONLY Matchstick, Gary Smyth & Reddevil WERE THE ONLY THREE TO GET TWO CORRECT SCORES AND ONE CORRECT RESULT. Bowler Geoff HAD NO CORRECT SCORES BUT HE HAD FOUR CORRECT RESULTS AND HE WAS THE ONLY ONE TO PREDICT THE CORRECT RESULT OF THE Divis V Portadown GAME. (You would have thought he could have lost his game and then he would have had the correct score) ONLY ONE MORE WEEK (SEE FIXTURES ON MONDAY NIGHT) Please remember that the points have still to be put on the league table for predicitions of the 16th.August games when they are all played. |

AFTER THE POINTS HAVE BEEN AWARDED FOR THE PREDICITIONS OF GAMES PLAYED ON SATURDAY 30th. AUGUST LEEDSY HAS MOVED TO THE TOP OF THE TABLE WITH 237 POINTS. REDDEVIL & BOMBER ARE BOTH ON 236 POINTS WITH THE ORACLE STILL HOLDING UNTO BOTTOM POSITION WITH 200 POINTS (Please take into consideration that there was one week that THE ORACLE did not post any predicitions) THE OUTRIGHT WINNER WILL NOT BE KNOWN UNTIL I GIVE THE POINTS FOR PREDICITIONS OF GAMES THAT WERE TO BE PLAYED ON SATURDAY 16th. AUGUST. I HAVE NOW SENT JOHN THE FINAL LEAGUE TABLE FOR THE N I B A FANTASY LEAGUE TO BE POSTED ON THE WEB SITE. I WILL NOT MAKE ANY COMMENTS REGARDING THE FINAL TABLE UNTIL JOHN HAS IT POSTED ON THE SITE. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL THOSE THAT TOOK PART AND SENT ME THEIR PREDICITIONS EACH WEEK. I DO HOPE THAT YOU HAVE ENJOYED IT AS MUCH AS I HAVE EVEN WITH IT HAVING TAKEN UP A FAIR AMOUNT OF MY TIME CHECKING ALL THE RESULTS EACH WEEK . Now that the final League Table is on the site i would like to congratulate LEEDSY (Newcastle) on his success in the Fantasy League he can now claim to be the best Predictor even if he is not the best bowler in the N I B A. REDDEVIL (Bangor) & WIC (Lisnagarvey) both came very close being only one and three points behind. BOMBER (Whitehead) has won THE BATTLE OF WHITEHEAD (sorry about that MONKFISH) I find it very hard to take it in that all three of my team mates AL - SKIPPY & BOWLER GEOFF (Portadown) could not even get into the top half of the league. As for the bottom rung of the ladder we have someone who it could be said that anything that he does not know about the N I B A is not worth knowing ( I must add that he has been a good help to me with results of games in the past) but he seems to lack in his predicting power, sorry if i have been a bit hard on you THE ORACLE (Musgrave) WELL DONE ONE & ALL JUST REMEMBER IT IS NOT THE WINNING BUT THE TAKING PART THAT COUNTS. Could i also on behalf of John and myself thank you all for the kind remarks that have been posted on the Message Forum about us. HOPE YOU ALL WILL HAVE A GO AT PREDICTING THE SIX WINNERS OF THE IRISH CHAMPIONSHIPS AND ALSO THE ASSOCIATION THAT WILL WIN THE TRANSLINK TROPHY ON SATURDAY 13th. SEPTEMBER AT BELMONT. HOPE TO HAVE FIXTURES ON SITE LATER TONIGHT WITH INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ENTER. |

As has been said before George a big thanks to yourself and John for spending the time to facilitate the fantasy league. I think everyone has really enjoyed taking part.In some cases it actually got to the stage where people were more worried about how their predictions were going than how many points their team were getting!!! |
