Hi all, only just on as had to nip to town and buy a new ironing board (of all the things to have to buy) It a scorcher here too, bit too hot for me too. Ball was very flash pink but the kids got really tired and they were the only two little ones out of about 450 people...tables were tables for 10 and round and dressed so beautifully with mirror centre pieces and glass bowl with floating flowers , there was a lilac theme with silver and it was all very lovely...thought it was an 8pm start but checked tickets in the afternoon and it was 6 pm so we had a mad rush on and I went into stress mode for the first time in months ....mums always have to get everyone else sorted too leaving little time for themselves...said this on a different thread but we also had a family portrait photo done too...the band was brilliant also they were called Soul Kitchen and if we ever have a function we really must get them ....just like blues brothers and very lively, they were dressed in chefs clothes |

It is a real scortcher here in Northants today! Today it will be a quiet one here, James will be going back to camp in the next hour or so, after visiting his dad, it was and still is a rench with him leaving, but it has been great to have him back even if the visit was short and sweet! I don't think these goodbyes are going to get any easier! xxx

Thanks sweetheart, James is off back to Catterick, and in his new car which he came to pick up this weekend, so I have that also to worry about. I'm sure he will be find driving back, but you can't help but worry all the same. He said he will contact me on his arrival back at camp, so it is the waiting game xxx

Karen hope that the BBQ went well...Hubby made one here and it was lovely too. Linda it was the Suffolk Glitter ball for young people and carers in suffolk, two of my boys have additional needs both on the Autistic spectrum but in true my family fashion , they are at opposite ends of it I will say that the organisers did a brilliant job and I have been to loads of doo's in my 41 years but this was by far the best organised and no expense spared too...Tickets were meant to be £35 each and I only had to pay for one of us to go as I went as carer and lily was free as she is only 5(hubby ate and drank a good £35 worth....drink flowed all night too Bucks fizz, wine and as many soft drinks as you wanted. They had some disabled youngsters from the Local Theatre do a sketch and also some dancing and they had some singing with Ipods in their ears...That wasn't such a good idea but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves...the confidence of these youngsters was amazing...the organisers also had lots of help for anyone that needed it too which was brilliant. The worse thing was sitting at a table to eat with 6 complete strangers...but we coped. We had some friends there but they were sat at different tables though one was on the table next to us so we interacted and had a laugh (especially when my hubby was tucking in to his third strawberry pavalova) All the tables were named after Pop groups, we were McFly
