Windsor tattoo dress rehearsal.
Hi everybody, first i want to thank carol again for hte tickets, and teresa for sending them, i love tattoo's I used to go to the one at earl's court every year. i was given permission to leave work early so i could get there to see the shops, sadly they were shut...but i still got out of work early (tee hee )I took my crutch as my back was bad on wednesday, got into the ground (queens' back garden) and went to find out seats, asked a person who sent us on looong walk around arena, got to the block where we were sitting, asked for ticket...showed it, then asked for member badge??? didn't have one of those!! but couldn't walk anyfurther, fortunately chap had a brain cell and realised so let me go and sit in my seat (had he never heard of security??? hmmmm) so seat numbers, block 4, row 1 (weeee front row) seat numbers 6&7....erm, there wasn't a seat 7, (unless i was supposed to be sitting in the v.i.p bit next to royal box?) so, had a while to wait, met a nice lady who's husband is something to do with kings troop, and at 8.30 it started, was great, basically starred the kings troop and the household division, they also did battle scene, which i have seen before, but with ian just back it brought a tear to my eye also had a band from malasia or somewhere hot and they brought lovely fake palm tree's with them. 2 hours with no break really great, didn't get programme, they weren't open when we arrived, and then when they were available they were £8.00 (ouch, but i know...the tickets were free, even so eight quid) took loads of pics, until camera ran out of battery!! really good evening, hope jilly enjoyed it too. so, we had the best view, because they aim everything at the royal box! did get a bit chilly late on, mum was interviewed by bbc, but fortunately they cut it out of the news...she wasn't expecting it and clearly didn't say what she was supposed to, she's just hoping they won't put it on with the programme when it's on ( i believe it's due this weekend) anyway, she will deny it being her!! lol So, thank you thank you thank you, had a fab time...although got home quite late and i've been tired at work ever since, recovered now!! only suggestion i have to make it better, was to start it at 7.30 or 8 so it would have finished at either 9.30 or 10, there were children sitting with us and they had to leave at about 9,30 as the kids were getting a bit ansy. Hope i havn't bored you all, cos this has turned out to be a long message, but certainly worth a watch when it's on telly. I think pink is a co-ordinator for the facebook page, so might email her with a couple of the focussed ones..or teresa, do you want any for pride of britain, got some of band, and horses, can't see who anybody is so shouldn't be a problem. Have a lovely weekend, i've got to go out now, it's the richmond mayfair, so i'll be down there later. xxx |

yep, mum really enjoyed it...but did you know the tickets would have been £35.00, my godmum went last night with her hubby (he's x military,) so they had a fab time, we spent about an hour talking about it this morning, going to be televised tomorrow afternoon apparently, from the tape they made on wednesday, if your in it's certainly worth taking a look. yep pink, always drama around me and my mum, but definatley adds to the event gives us something to giggle and talk about long after it's all over....didn't see anybody else from parcels, not sure if they had tickets on our side...but may have been moved to the other side anyway, really great event. thanks again. xx
